"I joined Arts Liaisons last September and have been to two plays with the group. The first was “To Kill a Mockingbird” in Leeds Playhouse and the second was “The History Boys” in the Lowry Theatre in Salford.

I really enjoyed both events because of the interesting people in the group as well as the first class performances in the theatre. Furthermore, the fact that Arts Liaisons had arranged meals before the performances and we could get to begin to know something about each other was a very good way to enjoy ourselves.

Since I am now living alone, I felt that I was becoming increasingly vegetative and the group is an excellent and well organised means of meeting new people and enjoying entertainment that is both stimulating and delightful".

"I have thoroughly enjoyed the variety of theatre experiences, including an evening with Joan Collins and an evening with Gervais Phinn in York and the Bad Girls musical in Leeds - three completely different events, but equally enjoyable.

These events are so well organised by you that it makes it very relaxing for someone like myself who does not have the time to book events and think ahead. From the moment the evening starts with drinks and a wonderful dinner where the restaurant is ready to welcome you and make you feel special, right through to the refreshments which are ready for you during theatre intervals, the whole evening is totally stress free.

An added bonus is spending the evening with like-minded people. I am very much looking forward to the next evening out with Arts Liaisons. Thanks again"

"Members of Arts-Liaisons launched the creation of Gourmet-Liaisons by treating themselves to dinner in the restaurant of Rudding Park near Harrogate. None of us had eaten there before and we were pleased to find that the Georgian house had been very tastefully restored internally so as to have 4 or 5 small areas equipped as restaurants and a splendid lounge complete with sofas and armchairs together with a library. After a pre-prandial drink in the lounge we ordered a three course meal and took our after dinner coffee in the comfortable lounge. Everyone commented on how the meal had been beautifully prepared and served and had just the right quantities so as to satisfy without causing a feeling of being overfed. We came away having had an evening of good food and conversation and thus it was a very suitable launch for Gourmet-Liaisons."
